Your packaging is your first ad.
For a small brand, the box often gets filmed more than the product. Here's how to design for that moment, without a big budget.

When someone orders from a small brand, the parcel is the first physical thing they touch. Before they try the necklace or taste the cookie, they hold a box. If that moment feels special, a lot of people pick up their phone. That story or Reel reaches people your ads never would, and it costs you nothing.
You don't need custom-printed boxes to get there. Most of the magic comes from three small details.
1. A seal worth breaking
Give the box one moment of resistance: a sticker across the opening, a ribbon, a wax seal. It turns "opening a parcel" into "unwrapping something", and it's the shot people film. Plain kraft boxes with a custom round sticker cost a fraction of printed boxes and look intentional, not cheap.
2. One surprise inside
A sweet, a handwritten note, a sticker sheet, a tiny extra. Something the customer didn't pay for and didn't expect. Keep it consistent so it becomes your thing, the detail people mention when they recommend you.
3. Something they keep
A pouch, a dish, a tote, a card nice enough to pin on a wall. If part of the packaging stays in their home, your brand does too. It's the cheapest repeat ad you will ever buy.
Make it easy to film
Keep colours few and bold so they read on a phone screen. Put your handle somewhere on the inside, where the camera ends up. And pack it in the order you want it revealed: seal, then surprise, then product.
✦ one surprise inside
✦ one thing to keep
✦ your handle inside the lid
✦ two or three colours, max
